Due to the popular demand, Sinners, a Ryan Coogler film, is returning to the IMAX 70mm screen for just one week starting May 15. The Movie Starring Michael B. Jordan is a period action-horror story about win brother who opens a junk joint in Mississippi that becomes overrun by vampires.
The movie is shot using high-resolution IMX film cameras, Sinners offers a distinctive viewing experience, which is only available in selected theaters that have 70mm film. Coogler said he first fell in love with this format when he was in film school, but it was a Warner bros executive who encouraged him to shoot Sinners with this style.
What’s special about 70mm film?
70mm film shows more detail, brighter colors, and deeper images than most regular movies. It makes everything look clearer and more real on the big screen. Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” was also displayed in 70 mm screenings.

Sinners has already been a hit, it has $200 million since its has been released on April 18. Christopher Nolan and his producing partner Emma Thomas even guided Coogler during production.
