Halle Bailey Files Restraining Order Against Ex DDG Over Alleged Abuse

Actress and singer Halle Bailey has taken a Restraining order against her Rapper Ex, DDG (real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.), accusing him of abuse just seven months after their breakup. The two have a one-year-old son together.

In court documents filed on May 13 in Los Angeles, Halle(25) claims that DDG abused her physically, emotionally, verbally, and financially. Halle mentioned that the reason for their breakup was his anger issues and disrespect. She also said that DDG often talks badly about her on social media, which causes his large fan base to target her with hate and threats.

One of the most serious issues happened in January, when she asked DDG when he’d return Halo. When she was putting the baby in his car seat, DDG got angry, pulled her hair, and slammed her face into the steering wheel. She says she was left with bruises and a chipped tooth, and she included injury photos as proof of the incident in the court documents.

In another event, DDG showed up at her house uninhibited, then took a photo of her empty bed and sent her the picture with a suggestive message. Halle says this made her feel she was not safe.

Halle also mentioned that DDG has been using his social media platforms to paint her as a bad mother and stir up drama for his fans. He said that Halle doesn’t let him meet his son, even though she has tried to arrange visits. Halle thinks that he is doing it to gain money and views, which is putting her and Halo in danger.

One time when Halle and the baby were sick, she asked DDG not to take Halo out, so he got angry and broke the security camera when he found it was recording.

Halle is now requesting the court for full custody of Halle and to stop DDG from coming near them. Halle says she can no longer bear this abuse and wants to protect herself and her son.  A hearing is scheduled for June 4.
