Just a week after launching, Instagram has rolled out its first major update to its new video editing app, Edits, introducing more customization tools and improvements to simplify the editing process.
Here’s what’s new:
According to Meta, the update adds 125 new fonts to help users better match their text to their personal style. In addition, 15 voice effects are now available, allowing creators to add more emotion and character to their voiceovers.
Another helpful new feature is the “Apply all” option, which lets you apply filters, effects, transitions, and adjustments across all clips at once — a big time-saver for creators.

These updates build on the app’s existing capabilities, like multi-channel tracking, a growing selection of video effects, and the ability to export clips without an Instagram watermark.
All of these tools are currently free, though Meta has hinted that future updates — especially those involving advanced AI — might come with a cost due to higher processing demands.
Instagram says it plans to release weekly updates, continuing to expand Edits with the goal of making it the top video editing tool out there.
